Pediatrics Global Oncology and Blood Disorders Education Program Fall 2017

1 Key Participants

The fall session of the 2017 Global Oncology and Blood Disorders Education Program (GLOBE Program) will start on October 16th, 2017 and run through December 8th, 2017. Physician and nurse applicants will be selected through an online application process to spend 4 or 8 weeks at the Global Health Initiative (GHI) at Dana-Farber / Boston Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders Center. The application deadline is June 30th, 2017.

The GLOBE Program hosts visiting pediatricians and nurses from developing and underdeveloped countries. The GLOBE Program is an observership experience in which participants attend patient rounds and other clinical activities, as well as participate in teaching conferences under the supervision of a DF/BC staff physician or nurse.

Please share this information with anyone you know internationally who could be interested or benefit from this experience. The program offers 4-6 scholarships per term to physicians and nurses from low-resource countries with competitive applications who are likely to have great impact in the care of children with cancer and blood disorders in their respective countries upon return.
